2022: Grubhof once again secures a top position in Europe

This year, the Grubhof once again achieved a top spot in the european campsite rankings – 2nd place in the Camping.Info Awards 2022. We are over the moon to win this award again and would like to thank all our guests for the support and our team for their hard work.

The Camping.Info Award is in its 11th year and is one of the highest-regarded awards in the european camping industry. We are proud to have been in the top 10 for 10 years, with 4 years at number 1 and 2 at number 2.

The winners for 2022 were chosen based on 228,000 reviews from 150,000 camping holidaymakers. The currency, credibility as well as the overall number of reviews for each respective campsite were taken into account.

ADAC & ANWB verified 4.5 star rating

Camping Grubhof in St. Martin bei Lofer is put to the test annually by ADAC and ANWB inspectors. We currently hold the title ADAC Tipp 2022 with a 4.5 star rating. This title is awarded to campsites with a “very good” classification in the ADAC/ ANWB camping guide 2022.

ADAC Camping Caravanning Award

With this award, campsites are recognised who offer special attractions or extraordinary concepts alongside the standard facilities and programmes.

Camping Grubhof in the book "Cool Camping Europa"

It is a particularly special award for us to be one of just three austrian campsites recognised in the book "Cool Camping Europa". In this book, the author recommends 100 sensational campsites for tent holidays. It also includes many practical tips on transport, meals, accommodation, costs, opening times & activities.

DCC-Europapreis/German Camping Club European Prize 2016 for Camping Grubhof

Germany’s camping specialist association, the DCC, has been awarding the the Europapreis to campsites since 1996. The award is given to campsites that have an exceptional amount to offer to their guests.

That could of course be perfect luxury, but it could also be a rich history or mediterranean flair as well as carefully managed campsites where owners are actively involved, bringing together ideas and personality for the good of the guests. At the Reise + Camping holiday conference in Essen, the Grubhof was crowned a winner, among other campsites in Germany, Denmark, Croatia and France.

The Grubhof stands out due to its generous pitches. Guests can enjoy huge pitches of at least 180 square metres – that impressed the judges, too.

The regional government of Salzburg has been annually awarding 10 especially engaged companies & institutions for exceptional efforts in environmental protection with the umwelt blatt salzburg. The prizeholders‘ efforts include saving operating costs through efficient resource management, reducing waste and operating in a climate-friendly, sustainable fashion. Grubhof was already recognised for our exemplary waste and recycling concept back in 2013, winning an award for the category waste & resources.

Austrian Ecolabel

An award-winning holiday. Top quality and environmentally friendly policies – these are the criteria for the Austrian Ecolabel certification. On 12th January 2012, the minister for environment Niki Berlakovich presented Robert & Maria Stainer with the Austrian Ecolabel at the holiday conference in Vienna.

EU Ecolabel

The European Ecolabel serves as an international seal of approval and is a standardised label for environmentally friendly products and services across the EEA. Businesses that carry the EU Ecolabel – as with the Austrian Ecolabel – are characterised by their environmental friendliness and high quality.

We are part of ECOCAMPING in order to guarantee a programme of environmental and quality management on our nature campsite Grubhof. It is our goal to continually improve environmental, safety and quality standards on our site.
