Our campsite Grubhof in Lofer in the Salzburg region is the ideal starting point for a camping holiday in Austria with many walking, hiking and mountaineering routes of varying degrees of difficulty – relaxed or challenging, in the valley or way up high, for families with children or without children. Our region offers over 400 km of fulfilling routes in and around Lofer for ambitioned walkers and experienced mountaineers alike.

The Loferer Steinberge mountains and the Berchtesgaden Alps national park lie right on the doorstep of Camping Grubhof, opening up an international hiking landscape: Hike from one region to another or even cross the border from Austria into Germany – our location on the border between Salzburg, Tyrol and Berchtesgaden makes it possible.
Climbing in the Loferer Steinberge mountains
The Loferer and Leoganger Steinberge mountains are one of the most well-known climbing regions in the Alps. The little ones can start out on the climbing wall as part of our free children’s programme. More advanced climbers will find their outlet in the climbing parks of the mountaineering village of Weißbach.
