Winter camping on our comfortable and well-equipped campsite allows you to enjoy the benefits of numerous practical amenities, home comforts and modern spa facilities to make a winter camping stay an extra special spa camping holiday.

Winter also finds the Grubhof campsite in the ideal location with ideal comfort levels: Our XX-Large caravan and tent pitches offer up to 200 m² of land each and are connected to the electricity, water, sewage, gas and WLAN networks. We would also like to highlight the fact that all water and sewage facilities work in sub-zero temperatures.

Alpine skiing, cross country skiing & winter walks round and about the campsite

The next ski resort - Almenwelt Lofer - is just 2km away. The Almenwelt Lofer is an easily affordable, family-friendly ski resort offering 46 km of slopes. The free ski shuttle bus stops right at the Grubhof winter campsite. There are other skiing regions offering hundreds of kilometres of slopes less than 30 minutes from the campsite. Steinplatte 8 km, Leogang/Saalbach 25 km, Maria Alm 25 km and Kitzbühel 35 km.

Cross country skiers can peel off their laps on the nearby valley grooves just 300 m away or on the alpine cross country circuit in Heutal, Winklmoos. For non-skiers there are over 100 km of well cleared winter trekking routes. We particularly recommend the tour up to the pilgrimage church of Maria Kirchental up above St. Martin, followed by a breathtaking sledge ride back down into the village.

Beneath the starry night sky you’ll find our spa facilities on the top floor offer a wide range of opportunities to relax and regain your balance. Best of all: During the winter season use of the on-site spa facilities is included in the price*!

Winter camping & spa facilities combine perfectly for a truly enjoyable experience: After warming up in the sauna guests can walk around the outdoor area and feel the cold, crisp snow crunch beneath their feet, watch their breath steam off into the freezing air, gaze up at the clear, starry night sky and observe the gentle landing of a million snowflakes – then head back for the cosy warmth of the relaxation zone and hot cup of tea to rediscover one’s inner self and to build up fresh vitality.

Including culinary delights

Culinary pleasures are also provided. In the evenings there are plenty of Austrian dishes on the menu at the campsite inn and restaurant. The following morning Café Campo & Shop opens again for breakfast and a new winter camping day begins.
