At the heart of the Loferer Steinberge mountains and the Berchtesgaden Alps – the Grubhof camp site is situated between the villages of St. Martin (1 km) and Lofer (2 km). It is the perfect starting point for a wide variety of activities that can make an Austrian camping holiday in Salzburg and area a very special experience.

The camping and caravan site lies at the heart of Salzburg’s Saalachtal in the triple border region of Salzburg, Tyrol and Berchtesgaden. This enables guests to enjoy interesting outings and leisure activities in two countries and three regions.

Step into an intact natural environment – straight from the campsite:
Riverside camping is a very popular attraction: Listen to the twittering of the birds or the babbling of the River Saalach. Enjoy the summer swimming with the children or try out a white-water kayak ride a few kilometres upstream.

Walks and treks can also be started from the camping and caravan site – in winter too – discover the Tauernradweg cycle path with your bike.
In the winter the free shuttle bus for skiers takes guests to the easily affordable ski resort Almenwelt Lofer just 2 km away.
