Park Grubhof lies right next to the Saalach, a 103 kilometre alpine river very popular with many a water sports enthusiast. The Saalachtal valley is located in the province of Salzburg and is known for the abundance of water activities, breathtaking sights, wild ravines and gorges.

The Saalach is a real ‘Eldorado’ for kayakers. The river carves a winding path down the valleyand is flanked by magnificent rocky alpine scenery opening up a breathtaking selection of water-borne challenges for beginners through to professionals. For a thrilling day out these waters are perfect for trying out rafting, canyoning or hydro speed.

Here in Park Grubhof white-water enthusiasts have their very own separate camping area right next to the river! Our new facilities even provide extra washing and drying rooms for canoeists.

Free white-water try-out in July and August exclusively for Park Grubhof guests.
